You could have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, a serious but treatable condition
When snoring begins to cause problems in your relationship and/or you are suffering persistent daytime sleepiness then this could be a sign that you are suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (repeated pauses in breathing during sleep) and you should consult your doctor.
New research suggests that there could be at least 8 million people in the UK suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnoea syndrome (OSA), a disorder that, if left untreated, can have serious consequences. Not only does OSA cause a reduction in quality of life but also an increased risk of heart failure, hypertension, stroke and diabetes.
